Karachi-born, PIA-trained, Shayan Jahangir made his First Class debut in the 2014-15 season of the Qaid-e-Azam Trophy after a brief with the Pakistan under-19 team. By 2017, he shifted base to the US after marriage, and quickly made an impact in his new adopted land. On the back of some stunning numbers while playing for the Lone Star Athletics in the Minor League Cricket, where he amassed 619 runs in 27 innings at an average of 36.59 and a strike-rate of 130.05, a national cap duly came calling in 2022. 

He was among the top leading run-scorers in the 2023 season of the MLC, getting MI New York off to quick starts and playing a major role in the team's success.
