USA captain Monank Patel, Steven Taylor headline MI NY’s picks in inaugural MLC draft

t indeed was a golden day in USA cricket history, with the Major League Cricket Draft kicking off. Over two hours, 54 local registered players were picked up by six teams, and the teams have the permission to sign overseas players directly.
In the case of our sister franchise, MI New York, the focus was on forming a strong core of local talent. Steven Taylor, the big-hitting star batter was the team’s first pick in the draft. With over ten years of international experience and the exposure of playing in other franchise-based leagues like the CPL, Taylor – with his large physical presence – is going to be a real treat to watch on the field.
