The Eliminator | MINYvWF: Knockout time, mission 1/3
By MI New York Media
So you say you’re in Dallas? And you’re suddenly finding it hotter than usual? Yep, yep, it’s that time of the league. It’s the final leg. It’s the win-here-or-go-home zone. Every eye is on the title. Every road is leading in to the Grand Prairie. Every move is set to create history.
Okay, that’s the big picture. Let’s keep our eyes firmly on the road, which has had its fair share of easy smooth segues and some bumps en route to the playoffs. Next hurdle: Washington Freedom, the team we breezed past a couple of matches ago. That’s still fresh. The wounds that Nicholas Pooran and Kieron Pollard inflicted with their batting must still be fresh too. It was the game where our top-order found its rhythm.
We’ve checked all boxes. All that remains now is getting it fully right, in sync. And in many ways, it’s actually good pressure. There’s no room to relax, no room to leave it to tomorrow. THIS IS IT. Three games, three must wins.
What: Washington Freedom vs MI New York, The Eliminator
When: July 27, 2023 | 3:30pm local time (July 28, 2:00am IST)
Where: Grand Prairie Stadium, Dallas
What to expect: The pitch here in Texas in the first leg was a true sporting wicket with something in it for everyone. It also wasn’t a bat-second pitch like the one at Morrisville. Expect the same.
What you need to do: The boys know what needs to be done. The equation for all of us is crystal clear too. Let’s pray, shout, scream, cheer, egg on the boys, and leave nothing to chance, please.
